Nico Rosamilia of the Ironbound Fever

Nico Rosamilia of the U13 Ironbound Fever recently participated in US Club Soccer’s id2 Program in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Established in 2004, US Club Soccer’s id2 National Identification and Development Program provides an opportunity for the country’s elite youth soccer players to be identified and developed, and scouted for inclusion in U.S. Soccer’s National Team programs.  Over 800 players were recommended for the id2 camp in North Carolina and only 64 were selected.  The boys were coached by id² Boys Program Director Gerry McKeown and coaches Ben Ziemer (NorCal Premier Soccer), David Allred (Wake FC), Kelly Findley (NC State), Paul Forster (Capital Area SL), Bob Jenkins (Arsenal FC), Matt Lawrey (Richmond Strikers) and Carlos Parra (Atlanta Fire).  The 4 day camp consisted of technical and tactical training sessions during the day and games at night.  Rosamilia scored two goals in the matches including a game winning header in the final game.
