List of Items Acceptable to Send to Our Troops:
Foods, snacks, and entertainment are usually the number one request from our troops. No canned food or hotel samples are accepted. The U.S. Marines appreciate anything you send. It allows them to get their mind off the stress of being at war. It also allows them to somewhat feel at home. Such care packages put a huge smile on their faces. Here is a list of items that you can donate:
Food, Snacks, and Drinks:
- Beef Jerky
- Sunflower seeds
- Protein Bars/Granola Bars/Power Bars
- Hot Chocolate Packets
- Pretzels
- Dry Soup (Cup ‘O’ Noodles)
- Gum/Hard Candy
- Mixed Nuts
- Cookies (individually packaged)
Toiletries:
- Baby wipes (major necessity)
- Toothpaste/tooth brushes/dental floss
- Hand Sanitizer
- Deodorant
- Mouthwash
- Cough drops
- Tylenol, Advil, Motrin
- Vitamins
- Bug Spray (DEET or Skin-So-Soft)
- Chapstick
- Disposable Razors
- Shower Gel
Entertainment:
- Game Books (crossword puzzles, word search, Sudoku, etc.)
- Playing Cards/Dominoes/Travel Game Boards (UNO, checkers, etc.)
- Batteries
- New and Used DVD’s
- Stationary and Envelopes
