The Ironbound boys Y-league program has started on a positive note at the beginning of the 2008 season. The club has started with a 3 wins 2 losses and 1 draw in the early stages of the season. The Ironbound family would like to wish all of players, coaches, and managers much success in the upcoming 2008 season.
The U13 boys led by Coaches Joe Gonzalves, John Soares, Romeu Neves and team manager Gina Gonzalves have gotten off to a 1 - 1 record after 2 hard fought matches. The boys played well against Quickstrike but came up a bit short on April 16th 2008 with a 2-1 loss. The boys faired much better the next time around with a favorable 2-1 victory over the New Jersey Stallions on April 23rd 2008. Their next game is scheduled for June 1st vs.. Princeton.
The U14 boys led by Coaches Alex Velasquez and David Teixeira and team manager Hermina Marques has started with a 1-0-1 record. The boys started off their season on March 22 2008 with an overwhelming 6-0 victory over Parsippany. Their second game was played away on April 12th against Match fit was much tougher and ended in a final of 2-2. Their next game is scheduled for May 17 2008 vs... Parsippany.
The U15 boys led by Coaches Doug DaRocha and John Cortez and team Manager Robert Fredericks have started their season with a 1-0 record on a positive result on April 20 2008 with 1-0 victory over the New Jersey Stallions. Their next game is scheduled for April 26 2008 vs... the South Jersey Barons.
The U16 boys led by Coach Robert Nydick and team manager Mike Karlovich kicked off their season 0-1 on April 20 2008 with a 2-0 loss against TSF Academy. The game was a hard fought match and the boys deserved a much better result. Their next game is scheduled for April 26 2008 vs... the South Jersey Barons
The U20 boys led by coach Carlos Rasolio will kick off their season on May 28 2008 against the Jersey Knights. The team is currently being formed with tryout dates being set up for the upcoming weeks.

Congratulations to all the Ironbound SC teams that have completed their Spring 2008 seasons. Sucess is not only measured by the wins, but also by the development of each team, their coaches, and the individual players. We would like to thank all of you for your hard work, and for representing the Ironbound SC during this past season.
